AMSA Delegation to Malaysia - IFMSA Regional

This Asia Pacific Regional Meeting is the annual gathering of Medical students from all over the Asia Pacific, and hopes to inspire the next generation of future physicians to become leaders and advocates through the exchange of ideas, networking and learning from the various sessions. Held in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur this year, delegates will: Represent Australia and give our voice to international policies that are used to represent us at the WHO and other international events. Vote on how IFMSA as an organisation is run (eg. through by-law changes) Up-skill through amazing workshops run by dedicated session teams (eg. in public health, medical education, human rights etc). Network and make friends with medical students from each and every corner of the globe  A theme event run by external stakeholders  having included the WHO, MSF, UN in the past

Description
The pre-APRM is dedicated to 3 days of six targeted and specific workshops to be run for a selected pool of APRM delegates before the APRM itself, with the aim of building topical capabilities and training trainers in the region. The topics included this year include: Human RIghts for Medical Practitioners (HRMP) Training Medical Education Trainers (TMET) Training Sexual and Reproductive Health and Right Trainers (TSRHRT) Training New Trainers (TNT) Professional and Research Exchange Training (PRET) From Advocacy to Policy-Making on Universal Health Coverage (AtoP on UHC)
